Abstract: Traditional waterfall methodologies have often struggled to deliver complex software projects on time and within budget. Agile methodologies, characterized by their iterative and incremental approach, have emerged as a viable alternative for large-scale software development. This paper explores the application of agile methodologies to large-scale projects, highlighting their benefits and challenges. It discusses various agile frameworks, such as Scrum and Kanban, and how they can be adapted to accommodate the unique requirements of large-scale projects. The paper also examines the importance of effective scaling strategies and organizational culture in implementing agile successfully. By providing insights into the practical application of agile methodologies, this research aims to assist organizations in adopting a more flexible and efficient approach to software development.
