Title:   The Future of IoT Networking: Technologies and Trends

Abstract:This paper provides an understanding of how IoT networking is a distinctive mixture of WPANs, such as 6LowPAN and ZigBee, which use the IEEE 802.15.4 protocol for MAC and physical layer operations. In addition, the paper discusses WLAN Wi-Fi technology, i.e., a local area network that uses radio waves to transmit data, and mobile communication technology, such as LTE, which is used to provide connectivity to the internet, a wide area network. The paper focuses on how these technologies need to work together to provide IoT connectivity and showcases significant research problems in this area.
