Abstract: Fragmented storage systems are those that divide data into small pieces, or fragments, and store these fragments across multiple nodes. This can be done to improve the security of data, as it can make it more difficult for attackers to access sensitive data. However, fragmented storage systems also introduce new security challenges. This paper surveys the security issues that are specific to fragmented storage systems. The paper discusses the challenges of securing fragmented data, and it proposes a number of solutions to these challenges.
